Who knew that science could taste so good? Though he's only 3 this DIY Almond Milk Ice Cream was a great & YUMMY science lesson for my 3 year old. You can see in the pic he FULLY approves. And the best part? Only 3 ingredients!
I had never made this before so I only used a small amount of ingredients, But I'm thinking you could double or triple the ingredients and get the same outcome, though it may take a little longer. 1/4 C Unsweet Almond Milk 1/4 t Vanilla 1 tbs Sugar Mix Almond milk, vanilla, and sugar in a small plastic ziplock bag (I found it easier to let my 3 year old mix it in a small cup first) . Zip bag closed I used a snack sized bag, and then put that bag into an empty sandwich size bag and zipped it closed. Fill a large gallon size bag 1/4-1/2 way with ice and 2 tablespoons of salt and drop in the bag with mixed ingredients. Zip closed and get to shaking!! The ice gets REALLY cold, so you can use a towel around it if it seems to be getting to cold for your hands.. It took about 15 minutes before we saw that we had ice cream, it may take longer or shorter depending on the outside temperature. Pour ice cream into bowl, or eat it right from the bag!!
