At 3 years old my son is my best friend. He is compassionate, caring, and funny!! But as a mom, I find myself saying things, I never thought I'd say, I honestly never thought I'd have a reason to say them. Yesterday while in the grocery store my son was trying to climb out of the cart, wanting to give him the freedom the climb, but also wanting him to do so safely, as he straddled the edge of the cart, the words came out, "be careful so you don't hurt your penis.." I got a few strange looks, but with those words he decided that climbing out wasn't worth the risk. If you were a fly on the wall in our house there are many common phrases that replay throughout the day.
"that was a burp not a fart" "can we NOT put that down our diaper" " the lizard does not need cheerios!" " stop farting in the dogs face please." "no, your army men do not need chocolate milk." take that, with lots of hugs, kisses, and a few temper tantrums thrown in and my words have never been more odd, and my heart has never been so full.

Oh that's made me chuckle. My son thinks I'm obsessed with saying things life "Do you need to have a trump?"
