Hi Family...Ok so the nights are getting cooler..Wait? Did I actually just say that? Today it was 96 and tonight it is 84. Not getting much cooler here in Florida! Anyway it will get cooler eventually. Well I have a recipe that you will make again and again. It is one of the easiest yet most flavorful! This is one of those it only takes 2 minutes to throw together but makes it look like you were slaving for hours (So maybe some drama thrown in there)...Anyways here we go...
5 chicken legs (you can also use thighs or chicken breast but then cut down your cooking time. 1 pkg frozen peaches (I used 12 oz bag from Dollar Tree) 1/2 pkg onion soup mix (You can use Lipton or your own store brand) 1/2 cup brown sugar (I used dark) There we go.That's it..Preheat over to 375...Put your chicken in the pan..I always spray it first. You don't need too I just like the cleaning factor later. Put 1/2 package on top of chicken. Just sprinkle it on. Pour peaches over top distributing them all over. Sprinkle sugar over top of that. Put in preheated oven... Boom done..1 hour take it out..Bon Appetit! Hello Mason Jar Family! Well we were off to the beach to another family movie night. We got some Lunchables for the kids. Not something we do often but it was treat night. As for myself, Mama Dawn and Mama April I made us a Bento meal which consisted of my version of chicken salad, a serving of crackers, a hard boiled egg and a few miniatures for dessert..This chicken salad is AWESOME! You can wrap it in lettuce leaves, put it on crackers, make a sandwich or just eat it the way it is. The following recipe makes about 5 cups... 1 1/2 pounds of sauteed chicken breast (Chopped into small pieces) 2 tbsp lemon juice 1 tbsp honey 1/2 cup chopped celery (about 2 stalks) 2 cups chopped grapes 3/4 cups canned mandarin oranges (drain and cut into quarters or halves) 1/4 cup chopped water chestnuts 1/2 cup mayonnaise (I will actually cut this down to a 1/4 cup next time)..Also if you want to cut some calories you can add 1/2 cup of yogurt instead of mayonnaise. Mix everything together and enjoy! For step by step instructions watch our video here: Mason Jar Mamas on YouTube
Mama April here, and I am so happy it's almost officially fall, because that means pumpkin is a totally acceptable flavor. This Pumpkin Cheesecake stuffed french toast is so rich that one slice (and a couple slices of bacon) are all you need for a hearty and warming breakfast for those cool autumn mornings, sweet an savory collide with this mouth watering recipe.

From the moment I opened the kraft mail envelope and saw the colorful artwork on the cover of both the DVD and Audio CD cover I had a feeling that this would be yet another beloved family friendly faith adventure, and I was RIGHT! When I first read that there were 10 chapters to the video & audio dvd/cd I was a bit nervous, but those fears were calmed as I read further and discovered that each chapter was only 2-3 minutes in length, PERFECT for my active 4 year old whose attention span doesn't last much beyond those 2-3 minutes. The DVD is filled with the same attention grabbing artwork on the covers of the dvd and cd and reminded me of something Artist Rolly Crump would have created (Think "it's a small world" in Disney parks) but these beautiful works were taken right from the original writer, creator and father of six Kevin DeYoung's book of the same name (note to self: look up more of this artwork) Though admittedly we didn't use the audio CD as much as we viewed the DVD I can see how great the audio CD would be for families who travel daily back and forth to daycare or school making the morning commute an time for family devotional and learning, and the drive home a great time for discussion on what they have learned that morning and how it applied to their lives. So we all know that internationally famous house of pancakes, and how delicious all the stuff french toast looks from there, but the one thing I've discovered is the fillings are always too sweet for me, and there is TOO Much of it, When I make stuffed french toast I like to taste both the french toast and the filling and let them tickle my taste buds together. I also really enjoy dessert cake or pie it's hard for me to say no and the other morning I REALLY wanted some apple pie so I decided to turn dessert into breakfast. For this deceptively easy Apple Pie French Toast you will need the following:

Hi Family! Well it's only a matter of a few weeks before school starts. And we are all scurrying around looking for the quickest meals to put on the table. Quick yet nutritious. Well I have got a meal for you. And here's the best thing it is one dish! So no stove full of pots to clean up afterwards. Yes you can breathe now...From start to finish is approximately 95 minutes. But guess what 90 of that is cooking time! So 5 minutes to throw this thing together..How great is that! And here we go.....
5 chicken legs (you can use legs or thighs or all chicken breast if you want too..Your choice. I would recommend cutting your cooking time by about 15 minutes if you use all chicken breast) 2 chicken breasts (see note above) 2 cups of rice (you can use long grain or minute whatever you have on hand) 1 can 10.5 Cream of Chicken soup 1 bag frozen veggies (again you can use broccoli, cauliflower or a vegetable medley) 3 soup cans of water Dash paprika Pour your rice into the dish, add cream of chicken soup, 3 cans of water and stir to break up the soup. Add in frozen vegetables and stir once again. Once that is blended add your chicken pieces on top. (Yes it will seem watery but your rice will soak that right up) Add a dash of paprika and close the lid you are done! Put in a 375 degree oven. Cook for 90 minutes. Dinner is served! Enjoy!
